Many new ideas are being introduced in our modern world. New methods of production, technology, and most importantly new physical appearance. Many people are trying to become slimmer and slimmer until they reach and exaggerated small size. The best way of loosing weight is exercise. But, it most be controlled by a professional.

Our society is being controlled by fashions diets that pretend to help the person loose weight in small amounts of time. They introduced foods that are synthetic and doesn’t provide the body with the right amount of nutrients and energy that it need in order to function properly. These are some new market techniques to sell things efficiently.

The main objective of the market is to satisfy the demand of users. The way people try to sell their products is through advertisings that exhibit people who are very slim and doesnt have any problem looking good. The market try to sell products in order to get their own benefit. People should try to notice that the best way of loosing weight is through exercise.

In medieval time people were rarely fat. They worked out with daily activities tha doesnt comply with these new diets that comply with the consumer desire. The most effective way of loosing weight is through constant exercise routine and with a balance diet. In that way you can reach the perfect weight without using the new famous diets.

In conclusion, the best way of loosing weight is through constant exercise and with good diet. New diets are being introduced almost daily and affect your body greatly. Your body is affected by the diets because of the lack of nutrients and carbohydrates that are basic for the human healt and not by synthetic products.

Sketching a Friend

Some people would have some trouble writing about a friend and telling others the experiences they have lived together. Well in my case its something very similar, not because I dont have a friend but because of the choosing a friend part. I will talk about my two friends, my brothers. Its very difficult to start talking about these persons that I have knew all my life. I have shared many moments, experiences, and situations that help me understand many things about life. I must start this essay naming them, their names are Ricardo and Pedro. Ricardo is older than Pedro by two years. But for me they are mostly the same age.

Friends Across Centuries

The idea of knowing a person and create a relationship consists of many factors. I would probably answer that I would like to be friend of Samuel Johnson. But I really dont know how the person is emotionally neither if his intentions are good. But, lets think about a situation were these factors doesnt exist. Samuel Johnsons is a person who is brilliant, is brilliant because of the ideas he posses and all the writing material he has composed and create. First of all we must give Johnson a credit for his big a idea of creating a English dictionary but, the English Dictionary would be probably created by another person. In few words the creation of an English dictionary was manifest destiny creation. Throughout history many civilizations had posses dictionaries of its own language. The English dictionary was a book that was meant to be written. The thing I like the most about Samuel Johnson is the love he has toward London. London is a placed that I really like and enjoy, like Johnson do. We would probably exchange many ideas about London’s life and would be very interesting knowing Johnson point of view toward London. The quote he wrote about london: “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”. It express the complete idea and all the feelings he felt at that time about that city. The dictionary words have an special meaning and also the authors point of view toward some of them. The examples used to tell the readers about the use of the words are very complete and usually exhibit the style Samuel Johson used during his written works. The next dictionary he wrote was a lot more extensive and was more complete, and that created a revolution toward the English literature. Samuel Johnson with his written work help many people, I assume, in writing and expressing his ideas with more words and also helping them understand what some things meant in some situations. Many of the words written in the first dictionary change throughout the passing of time and the meaning we can say that evolves into new slangs in our modern society and English speech.

Just Another Monday Morning

When I start thinking about what to write about I really didnt know exactly what to write about. Suddenly and idea came to my head, it was the idea of writing about my favorite instrument: the drums.

It comes in all shapes and sizes. In the beginning it was small and simple in construction. Simply a piece of hide stretched over the end of a hollow log. Sticks or bones were used as beaters. It was found that by having drums of differing sizes, it was possible then to create a wide variety of tonal colours and contrast

Out of all the modern day instruments, none has a longer history than the drum. Drums are found throughout the world, in practically every culture, and are known to have existed since at least 6000 bc. Almost everywhere they have strong ceremonial, sacred, or symbolic associations.
In much of Africa certain drums symbolize and protect tribal royalty and are often housed in sacred dwellings. In fact you can say the drum was actually the first form of telephone…
Tribes, with use of the drum would communicate with other tribes often miles away. Drums frequently were used for signaling of meeting, dangers, etc….
The talking drums of Africa imitate the pitch patterns of language and transmit messages over many miles.
In Europe, The Timpani were associated with royalty as late as the 17th century. Throughout Central Asia and Siberia and among some Native American tribes of North America, shallow frame drums with one or two heads serve as ritual instruments for shamans.

What does the future hold for drum sets? No one can be sure. However, with the creation of more and more technology, we can be sure that the sounds will evolve even more. A combination of new sounds and traditional will always be found. And the limit for drum set creation will simply be the imagination of the musicians.

Music has been part of human life for as long as anyone can trace. Early civilizations of humans used music as a way to communicate and express feelings. Out of all of the musical instruments that we see in our society today and use on a regular basis, there is one instrument that stands out in musical history, the drum.

The history of drums is interesting and unique. When you examine this instrument historically, you will find that drums have had a place in almost all cultures around the globe. Variations of drums and drum sets occurred in many different cultures, the standard variety of a drum consisted simply of a hollowed out log or gourd with a piece of skin stretched taunt. Different sizes of gourds and logs created different sounds and beats.

In the past, as drums evolved and drum kits developed, new companies were formed and products were fine-tuned and made better. The Ludwig Drum Company is known as one of the most influential and historical drum companies of our time.

The Ludwig drum company was started by a young man who enjoyed playing the drums. He could not find a bass pedal that would hold up to his intense drumming style. He shopped around everywhere and could not find an appropriate pedal, so he fashioned one out of wood. The pedal was superior to anything else on the market.

But modern technology has helped to “improve the sound” of the instrument allowing for faster, cleaner and more accurate beating. This of course still requires the student to apply great dedication and practise to perfect stick control, rhythm, expression and the subtle use of dynamics. For some, with good instruction, the road may be easier, but never the less even the most gifted must travel the same pathway to success.
It all must be a rhythmic accompaniment to enhance the melody

In conclusion, no really knows what will happen with the drums. I only know that drums are one of my favorite instruments and I enjoyed playing it.
